This summer, our state partners turned organizing into outcomes. From primary night wins in Missouri and Wyoming to a brand-new partner in Louisiana, the road to protecting reproductive freedom is being built one state at a time. Here is what our partners, and Project 50, have been up to
Missouri: Access MO
Missouri voters delivered a huge win for abortion rights in August’s state primary. Voters overwhelmingly rejected Amendment 4, the legislature's attempt to gut the state's citizen initiative process. In two key races, Gina Mitten defeated an anti-abortion opponent for a Missouri State Senate seat, and Tori Schafer, the ACLU of Missouri attorney who led the 2024 ballot initiative enshrining abortion rights in the state constitution, won a heated four-way primary.
Access MO drove these wins with early endorsements, financial support, and a summer of canvassing, postcard parties, yard signs, and volunteer turnout at the polls.
Now they're looking to November: flip two Senate seats by electing Betsy Fogle and Keri Ingle, flip three House seats, and defeat Amendment 3, another abortion ban on the ballot.

Arkansas: Progress Arkansas Project
Progress Arkansas Project kicked off the summer with Party for Progress: Countdown to November, and it was a huge success. The room was full, and everyone left more connected, more motivated, and more ready for what's ahead.
A special thank you to Kaitlyn Joshua, whose words made the night truly unforgettable and inspired everyone in the room. November is coming, and Progress Arkansas Project is ready.

Wyoming: WyoUnited
Wyoming's primary delivered a knockout. Volunteers, friends, and colleagues in the WyoUnited community sent 10,000 postcards into seven districts targeting members of the so-called “Freedom Caucus,” the fiercest opponents of abortion care in the Wyoming legislature, and every single targeted candidate lost.
The “Freedom Caucus” went from holding 35 seats in the Wyoming House to winning just 10 of their primaries. In the Senate, only two “Freedom Caucus” candidates advanced.

Indiana: Indiana Reproductive Freedom PAC
IRFPAC announced its 2026 endorsements this summer. The process was simple. Every candidate running for the Indiana House, Indiana Senate, and statewide office was asked one question: will they commit to recognizing and fighting for Hoosiers' freedom to access a full range of reproductive healthcare, including safe and legal abortion, contraception, and fertility treatments. The candidates who said yes made IRFPAC's endorsed list.
IRFPAC also built a public accountability table tracking where every candidate for Indiana House, Senate, and statewide office stands, including voting records and public statements on reproductive healthcare access. No candidate gets to hide from where they actually stand.
IRFPAC needs to flip four Indiana House seats to break the supermajority that passed Indiana's abortion ban.
Also on the Move
Louisiana: A new Louisiana Reproductive Freedom organization
Our newest state partner is getting started. Andrea Dubé serves as Executive Director and is beginning to build this new organization. More to come as work in Louisiana takes off!
Virginia: Repro Rising Virginia
Repro Rising Virginia spent the summer where it counts: canvassing, phone banking, and growing its base of volunteers and supporters. It's a great example of a strong organization building real power on the ground.
In November, Virginians will vote on a Constitutional Amendment that would protect abortion care in the last abortion access point in the South.
West Virginia: WV FREE
WV FREE is gearing up for its 37th annual gala. Save the date for Pearls & Power on Friday, December 4, at the University of Charleston, an evening honoring the resilience, beauty, and strength of the movement and the organization. Pearls and power suits are encouraged, but not required.

From Project 50
We are one week away from the end of our 2026 Election Matching Challenge. Support the effort now, and your gift will count twice before the match runs out.
This summer we also brought Project 50 to Martha's Vineyard for a house party fundraiser, connecting with supporters and sharing where the map stands heading into November.

Now we're preparing for our 2026 How We Win Forum, and supporting every one of our state partners as they finalize their plans for the general election.
One more update: our website got a refresh. You can now see all of our past events and learn more about every one of our state partners in one place.
State by state, we are fighting to re-establish abortion access.
Thank you for standing with our state partners. Onward to November!
