The Project 50 team has been productive!
We hosted 2026 elections planning retreats with our state partners in Arkansas, Indiana, and Missouri over the last few months. And planning is underway for Project 50’s first ever States Convening which will take place in Chicago in April. This convening has been a work-in-progress for many months and we’re so excited to welcome reproductive rights focused political organizations from across the country to connect with one another and learn together.
This past weekend, I attended the Abortion in America Convening in New Orleans. The convening featured storytellers and advocates from across the country. We’re thrilled to share that Abortion in America cofounder, Kaitlyn Joshua, will be joining Project 50 in Chicago on May 5th for our second annual How We Win Forum.
As we continue to prepare for the midterm elections later this year, we’re fueled by an incredible victory in Arkansas HD 70 just last week, about which more below. This victory affirmed what we already know: affordable and accessible health care is a winning and unifying issue.

Updates from our State Partners
Arkansas - Progress Arkansas Project
In collaboration with advocates on the ground in Arkansas, Project 50 launched an independent expenditure campaign to elect health care advocate, Alex Holladay, to AR HD 70.
Representative-elect Holladay previously ran for this seat in 2024 and lost to Arkansas Right to Life-endorsed candidate Carlton Wing by just 286 votes. He ran again this year to represent North Little Rock and Sherwood in this special election and won by over 1,000 votes.
Progress Arkansas Project also launched a get out the vote campaign in this district ahead of the special election.

Indiana - Indiana Reproductive Freedom PAC
Thanks to the wonderful work of allies in Indiana, including Project 50 state partner, Indiana Reproductive Freedom PAC, a dangerous anti-abortion bill is dead. SB 236 would have put a bounty on people helping Hoosiers access safe and legal reproductive health care.
Indiana Reproductive Freedom PAC is hosting their annual fundraiser this spring! Join them in Indianapolis on Thursday, April 23 for a night of reflection on how far they’ve come and the work that lies ahead. Learn more about the event and purchase tickets to attend!
Missouri - Access Missouri
Join Access Missouri on Sunday, April 26 for their Kansas City kick off event! This event will feature Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Project 50 Board Member, former Secretary of Health and Human Services, and former Governor of Kansas. Hear from Access MO-endorsed candidates Senators Maggie Nurrenbern and Patty Lewis, and from Representative Keri Ingle about her race to flip the anti-repro supermajority in Missouri Senate District 8. Get tickets for the event!
Access Missouri has BIG goals this year! They’ve identified three key target races for this year with the goal of breaking the anti-choice supermajority in the senate by flipping two seats and maintaining all others.
- Keri Ingle for Missouri Senate District 8 (Kansas City Area) - flip opportunity
- Tracy McCreery for Missouri Senate District 24 (St. Louis County)
- Betsy Fogle for Missouri Senate District 30 (Springfield) - flip opportunity
Thank you for your ongoing support!
