How We Win Forum 2025

Project 50's first "How We Win" event drew 163 attendees to the Ivy Room at Tree Studios in Chicago, surpassing its fundraising goal. Board Chair Laura Tucker and Executive Director Bryan Howard welcomed guests, and the evening featured remarks from board member Hon. Kathleen Sebelius, former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services and Governor of Kansas, alongside a panel discussion with Liane Hulka of Indiana's Indiana Reproductive Freedom PAC (previously Our Choice Coalition), Marcie Love of Illinois's Personal PAC, and Dana Sandweiss of Missouri's Access MO. Political Director Marlou Svenson and board member Hon. Toi Hutchinson, former Illinois State Senator, also spoke, with Hutchinson closing the program with a personal call to action.

The funds raised allowed Project 50 to expand its work to a fifth state where abortion is currently banned, building lasting political and electoral power at the local level to restore abortion rights. As Bryan Howard put it, this is how they win: taking the long view and building power for reproductive healthcare, state by state.
